The department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel-Aviv University is celebrating Dan Rabinowitz's new book The Power of Deserts. Be part of a discussion (in Hebrew) of Rabinowitz's provocative argument that the imminent demise of oil, combined with harsh climate prediction, could push the oil rich kingdoms by the Persian Gulf to turn their back to oil, endorse renewable energy and join the global struggle to save the climate.
